Selwo. Costa Del Sol

For here is an incredibly unique nature park where animals of the five continents coexist in semiwild conditions, each variety to its own zone (elephants, giraffes, Bengal tigers, lions, bison, zebras, flamingos, etc.). You could spend days merging into its natural and orchestrated features that include a lagoon populated by exotic birds, a massive enclosed area of hills and plants called bird canyon, slide on a flying fox over a huge African lake, an archery range, the 'Aguada.' A great part of the circuit is made in all-terrain trucks, shops, restaurants, parking and more.

Fuengirola Zoo

Parque Acuatico De Mijas

'Aqualandia' is for the tots. Open from 10AM-6PM, discount if you arrive after 3PM, free for children under four years, special party and season rates. At 70,000-plus square metres, 50 Km from Marbella, this is the largest aquapark in Europe, with death-defying rides like the twister, almost vertical slides, tiny tots area, virtual waves swimming pool, restaurants, golf, more. Special group prices, free for children under three.

Sea Life Benalmadena

Watch the ocean's most deadly creatures like the Blue Ring Octopus that can kill a person in 20 seconds, the comical Puffer Fish plus local and exotic Mediterranean wildlife, sharks, rays, eels, etc.

Teleferico De Benalmadena

Malaga鈥檚 highest point, 769 meters above sea level affords magnificent panoramic views of the Costa del Sol 鈥.the Sierra Nevada mountains, the Guadalhorce Valley, and on a clear day, Gibraltar and the coast of Africa. The Benalmadena cable car takes you up there (including bicycles), and you can walk or mountain bike down along signposted footpaths.

Crocodile Park Torremolinos

El Refugio Del Burrito

(Apartado 25 Fuente de Piedra 29520 Malaga; www.elrefugiodelburrito.com). 鈥淭he Refuge of the Burrito鈥 is not a restaurant that specializes in that Mexican favorite. Donkeys and mules have been ensconced in Spanish culture since ancient times and immortalized by Don Quixote. 鈥淓l Refugio鈥︹ is a registered Spanish Association dedicated to protecting them. Safely sheltered in this traditional Spanish cortijo (farm) in the pastoral village of Fuente de Piedra, Antequera, with a charming olive grove, traditional farm structures, donkeys and mules rescued from across Europe roam un-pestered. A live show of old Spanish interiors, donkey lifestyle, fabulous flamingos at the nearby Flamingo Lake. Entrance is FREE! Gates open from 11:00AM to 7PM.

Lobo Park

Forty hectares of protected and untouched nature park in the heart of Andalusia are devoted to harboring European, Timber, Iberian, and the rare white Alaska (Tundra or polar) wolves, plus innumerable rare plant and animal species to watch and study. Ride the noble Andalusian horses to tour this wonderful landscape, or hop on a donkey, or chill out on the enormous terraces for front seat spectacular views, enjoy Spanish specialties at the eateries, check out the souvenir shops.

Senda El Retiro

Declared a National Historical Monument in 1984, this botanical and ornithological park highlights a significant bird collection, tropical fishes in the fresh and salt water aquarium, reptiles, amphibians, fantastic frogs, butterflies, flora, vegetation, and subtropical rainforests. Fresh free-flowing water is everywhere鈥攚aterfalls, historic fonts, lakes, rivers, rains, storms... Totally amazing!
