Unlike many beaches along the Costa del Sol, the beaches in Sotogrande that cover more than 20 km of coastline quiet and sheltered. In most of its beaches views of Gibraltar and the African coast will astound you. These are two most outstanding beach clubs:
El Octogono Beach Club
Born in 1980 near the Guadiaro river and the marina, this club has serviced residents and tourists with its restaurant, pool, sprawling lawn, tennis courts with lessons, all sorts of water activities. The nearby river Guadiaro is also a great kayak venue. Being a property owner in Sotogrande automatically provides you club membership that includes discounted prices on the facilities. Otherwise, you can opt for daily, weekly or monthly membership, except in July when minimum membership is one week.
El Cucurucho Beach Club
Snugly sited between the Mediterranean Sea and the Real Club de Golf is this privileged micro resort, with lush landscaped gardens and four pools from which to view the gorgeous ocean. There’s sauna, and massage, lifeguard, tennis courts, paddle courts and fronton courts, activities for youngsters such as water games, balloon games, water polo, football, treasure hunts, face painting, pottery, volleyball, juggling and more. The Iguana Park which is a rave kiddie hangout and party venues.
