The most famous beaches are Patong, Kata, Karon, Kamala and Surin Beach.

Phuket and its islands are ideal for sailing, diving & snorkeling, golfing and all kinds of sports & entertainment you can wish for. You can take trips to the islands on private boat charters, laze on pristine white sand beaches and get great discounts when you go shopping.

Places To Stay

Phuket is the largest island in Thailand and is also called the 'Pearl of South'. Phuket Island, laying in the Andaman Sea off southern Thailand’s west coast is in 70% covered by mountains and valleys. The tallest peak of Phuket (529 meters) is Mai Tao Sip Song (12 Cane Peak).

The size of the island has allowed to develop incredibly varied microclimates in different areas of Phuket. You can find tropical vegetation of all kinds but also rocky headlands and limestone cliffs. Going through forested hills finally you can reach lagoons with long broad sandy beaches or small estuaries.

Travel Info

Phuket's idyllic tropical weather pattern makes it a favourite with beach-lovers. There are, broadly speaking, two seasons: the dry and the wet. The dry season begins in December and lasts until April, when rainfall starts to pick up again. Wet or dry, temperatures remain remarkably consistent, nestling around 30°C (86°F), with high humidity

Many people visit in the high season (November to March) because of pleasant temperatures, blue skies and low rainfall.
