Addis Ababa and Surroundings

Addis Ababa ('New Flower' in Amharic Language), was founded by Emperor Menelik II and his consort Taytu in 1887. Addis Ababa is not only serving as the capital city of Ethiopia but also the capital city of Africa. Big organizations like UNECA and World Bank, many embassies and diplomats are also found in Addis Ababa. Addis Ababa enjoys nice climatic condition. Its altitude varies from 2300 to 2500 ms above sea level. The highest is Mount Entoto (Above 3100 ms) North of Addis Ababa. It is surrounded by high volcanic mountains and is found in the watershed between Blue Nile River from North and Awash River South. Five main roads leave the capital and connect with all the corners in the country.

Day 1: - Stop at Geferssa water reservoir. Continue to Wenchi Crater Lake; horse riding, hiking, driving, boat trip to visit the monastery. Drive to Woliso for overnight at Negash Lodge. The lodge is gifted with hot natural hot springs.
Day 2: - In the morning enjoy with the hot spring water and in afternoon drive to Addis Ababa.

Day 1: Drive to Ankober via Debre Berhan. After check in to Ankober Lodge Drive to Aliyu Amba to visit Thursday market.
