Paws Africa Rwanda offers products that encompass accommodations on a full-board basis in carefully selected hotels and lodges. The safari lodges we have use are individually designed and are usually situated in unique remote locations, providing you the traveller with opportunities to experience Rwanda at its best.

Ground transport is by Jeeps , which are air conditioned, 4-wheel drive vehicles, allowing our visitors to see the very best of the country and wildlife comfortably.  It is called the land of a thousand hills hence this is the best mode of traversing the different parks. 

Our Itineraries and tours
Departures for itineraries that include a visit to the gorillas are subject to availability of permits at time of booking. Gorilla permits are in high demand and need to be booked and paid in advance! Book your gorilla safari accordingly and avoid disappointment!

LEVEL OF SERVICE: Standard accommodations. Generally our tour prices are based on mid-range accommodations. Where a client wishes to stay in low-budget places or top of the range facilities, please inform us at time of booking so that we book the accommodations of your preference and amend tour prices for you accordingly.

KEY TO ITINERARIES:
B    - Accommodation on Bed Only basis. All meals for the day stated at the property are not included in the safari cost. To be paid for direct by the client.
BB    - Accommodation on Bed & Breakfast basis. Only breakfast is included in the safari cost at the stated property.
HB    - Accommodation on Half Board basis. One meal (either lunch or dinner) as well as breakfast are included in the safari cost.
FB    - Accommodation on Full Board basis. All meals (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) are included in the safari cost.
O/N  - Overnight

For all categories of accommodation, ALL drinks (except bottled water in transit) are excluded in the safari cost and clients are to pay for them direct to the hotels/Camps / Lodges. Clients could choose to fly out the following day in cases where there are no flights for their departure on the last day of the itinerary. A supplement for the extra night will be required.

FLIGHTS
Safaris start and end either in either Entebbe or Kampala in Uganda; or Kigali in Rwanda.

There are daily flights to Entebbe (Uganda) and Kigali (Rwanda) out of Nairobi with Kenya Airways and Rwandair Express.
Clients can make their own arrangements to arrive in Entebbe or Kigali on the day of, or the day before, their safari starts. SN Brussels flies to Entebbe and Kigali, from Brussels. South African Airways flies to Entebbe and Nairobi regularly. Ethiopian Airlines flies from London/Rome/Milan via Addis to Entebbe and Kigali. KLM flies to Entebbe direct from Amsterdam.

Emirates Air flies from New York to Entebbe and Nairobi via Dubai. Egypt Air flies from Rome/Milan via Cairo to Entebbe. Rwandair has daily connections between Kigali and Entebbe, Kigali and Nairobi and Kigali and Kilimanjaro (Near Arusha in Tanzania). From other African countries, countries can fly to Nairobi using Kenya Airways, SA or Ethiopian Airlines and get a connecting flight to Ebb/Kgl.

From Europe the easiest way to get to Entebbe (for Kampala in Uganda) directly from London is with British Airways. Kenya Airways and British Airways have daily connections between London and Nairobi from where you can connect to Entebbe or Kigali with Kenya Airways or other airlines.
From the USA, clients need to fly to London, Brussels or Amsterdam and then get connecting flights to Kigali and Entebbe. Alternatively clients can fly from New York, Washington DC or Atlanta to Johannesburg with South African Airways and then take a connecting flight. Contact your travel agent for reservations.

Kanombe, Rwanda’s international airport is about 8km away from Kigali city centre. Several international and regional carriers, including SN Brusels, Emirates, Kenya Airways, South African Airways and Ethiopian airlines operate regular flights to Kigali-Kanombe. Uganda's main international gateway is the Entebbe International Airport.

It is located some 40km south of Kampala, the Capital, in the lakeside town of Entebbe. Its setting makes a spectacular entry to the country with an approach over Lake Victoria. A number of International and regional carriers operate regular flights to and from Entebbe: Air Tanzania, British Airways, Egypt Air, Emirates, Ethiopian Airways, Gulf Air, Kenya Airways, South African Airways and SN Brussels.
