More Flights to Malawi Posted on: Friday, October 01, 2010

Due to increased demand, Kenya Airways has announced the introduction of double daily flights on Saturday and Sunday from T4 London-Heathrow to Nairobi. The outbound Saturday flights connect with an evening flight onward to Lilongwe, with less than 90 minutes in transit at Nairobi.

Commencing 31st October when the winter schedule comes into force two extra flights will be introduced to compliment the daily night flights from T4. The new daylight flights will allow passengers who prefer to travel during the day the chance to experience this and land in Nairobi in early evening.

The London-Nairobi flight (KQ103) on Saturday departs 08h50 and arrives 20h20, whilst the Sunday flight departs 07h55 and arrives 19h25. The return Nairobi-London flight (KQ104) on Saturday departs 10h50 and arrives 17h50, whilst the Sunday flight departs 11h25 and arrives 17h25.

As well as Lilongwe, the daylight flights also allow for onward connections on Kenya Airways to Mombasa, Dar es Saalam, Entebbe, Kilimanjaro, Johannesburg and Kigali.

Kenya Airways will launch its 51st destination on 21st October with a second route into Mozambique. In addition to flying to Maputo KQ will launch a new twice weekly service to Nampula in northern Mozambique.
