Supplementary oxygen
By using a supplementary oxygen system your chance of success is greatly increased, with the additional benefit of the experience being far less exhausting. It will completely eliminate the symptoms of AMS and allow you to have a clear memory of a fantastic summit day. The use of supplementary oxygen on Kilimanjaro does not remove the necessity for a regulated acclimatisation programme though.
You will receive a complete set of supplementary oxygen equipment, including one or two oxygen cylinders. The first cylinder is to be used when you have reached the top camp for resting and sleeping. The second cylinder is to be used for your summit bid. Each oxygen cylinder will provide supplementary oxygen for approx. 10 hours duration. The system is easy to set up and use, and the oxygen is delivered via an unobtrusive nasal cannula.

Meru 山
Meru山是坦桑尼亚第二高峰，海拔高度为4566米（14979英尺），虽然没有他的邻居乞力马扎罗山那么出名，经常被登山者忽略，Meru山是一座典型的火山堆，非常值得游览。攀登Meru山顶峰，会经过低海拔斜坡上的美丽草地河茂密森林，还会经过马蹄型山口如刀锋般的边缘，十分惊险刺激。与东非大裂谷形成同一时期形成的绝大部分山一样，Meru 山也是由火山灰构成的。山顶圆形的山口因为频繁的喷发而变成了马蹄形，最近的喷发造成了山口里有一个火山灰锥。在最近100年时间里，小喷发都被记录了下来，这表明Meru 山并没有消亡。住在这个区域的当地的Waarusha人认为Meru 山是神圣的，他们每年在祭祀上向火山献上牛或羊以确保来年的风调雨顺。在这片森林甚至火山口上，当地人已经在这生活了数代，是否有人到达山顶我们不得而知。Meru山的喷发和高海拔让好奇的人也玩而却步。

Waarusha who live in the area regard the mountain as sacred. Every year a bull or sheep is sacrificed and offered to the mountain to ensure rain in the coming season. Locals have been visiting the forest and even the area on the crater floor for generations. It is not known whether anybody ever reached the summit. The exposed nature and the effects of altitude would probably have deterred causal curiosity. |

攀登
第一天
从Momella gate to Mariakamba木屋：1500米－海拔高度为2514米（10公里，4-5小时），徒步穿过森林前往火山地面，接着继续翻过一个陡坡到达Miriakamba 木屋，在那过夜。
第二天
Miriakamba 木屋到Saddle 木屋：海拔高度2514米－3570米（4公里，3-4个小时），继续向山上步行，直到看到道路，在高度急剧上升后，穿过平坦的林中空地，您会到达水牛沼泽和大象山脊，直到Saddle木屋。你还可以通过小路通往Little Meru 和Rhino Point,返回都需要2个小时.
第三天
Saddle 木屋到Meru 山顶：3570米－4566米（5公里，4-5个小时），返回Saddle 木屋。清晨你就需要开始步行，以便可以欣赏到没有被雾气遮挡的火山口边的日出美景，然后继续步行到山顶，景色十分壮观。从山顶按原路返回Saddle 木屋。
第四天
Saddle 木屋到Momela Gate:3570米－1500米（9公里，3-5个小时）从Saddle折回Miriakamba 木屋或是穿过森林到达Momela Gate。
