7 Day Highlights Tour of Kenya - 4 Star

1: Nairobi
On your arrival at the airport in Nairobi, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day will be at your leisure. We suggest a visit to one of the markets for some bargaining or learn about the city's history at The National Museum. At 7pm you will be taken for dinner at The Carnivore which has the fantastic reputation of being one of the top 50 restaurants in the world.

Day 2: Nairobi / Amboseli After breakfast at the hotel you will depart at 8am for Amboseli National Park and arrive in time for a wonderful lunch at your Lodge. In the afternoon your guide will take you game viewing in this reserve famous for its huge herds of elephants with fabulous views of Mount Kilimanjaro in the background. It is also home to rhinos, wildebeest, lions, baboons, and cheetahs. Dinner and overnight at Lodge. Day 3: Amboseli / Nairobi / Lake Nakuru After breakfast you make your way back to Nairobi arriving in time for lunch at a restaurant in town. In the afternoon your driver will take you into the Rift Valley and down to the lakes until you reach Lake Nakuru National Park. En route to your lodge you will pass scores of flamingoes, as well as black and white rhino, waterbuck, warthogs and an abundance of birdlife. Dinner and overnight at your Lodge.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru Today you can enjoy a full day game viewing and bird watching in Lake Nakuru National Park. In 1961 it was designated a Bird Sanctuary and hosts a diverse selection of different species. The park is haven to the critically endangered Rothschild giraffe and rare white rhino. It is also possible to spot lions here, and leopards stretched out in the acacia trees. All meals and overnight at your Lodge.

 

Day 5: Lake Nakuru - Maasai Mara After breakfast you will be transferred to Maasai Mara National Reserve passing Mount Longonot, Narok and a number of Masaai on the road with their cattle. You will see zebras and gazelles along the way before arriving at your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon your guide will take you game viewing amongst a seemingly endless plain dotted with animals like nowhere else on earth. Dinner and overnight at your Lodge.

Day 6: Maasai Mara
A full day of game viewing in the Mara where Maasai warriors share the plains with hunting lions. Cheetahs are also a common sight in the Mara, as are hyena and smaller predators such as jackals. From July to October more than a million wildebeests pour across the border into the reserve making spectacular entrance in a surging column of life that stretches from horizon to horizon.

Day 7: Maasai Mara – Nairobi and Depart
After breakfast embark on your return journey to Nairobi. On arrival you will be dropped off at the your selected hotel or at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight.
