China Tourism Academy unveiled the China High-end Traveler Behavior Report

China Tourism Academy released the China High-end Traveler Behavior Report together with Honghu Travel. This report is about the travel preference and behavior of the Chinese affluent population. The report shows:

68% of the affluent travelers annually spend more than 50,000 on outbound travel;
49% don't have a fixed travel time; 21% travels during Spring Festival;
Europe is the most popular travel destination with France as a top shopping destination. North America, South America and Asia follow, with a percentage of 22%, 19% and 18% respectively;
66% books the outbound travel products by themselves, whilst 14% via a secretary;
70% chooses first and business class on a plane. The most popular abroad carrier is Singapore Airlines. The most popular national carrier is China Southern and Air China. The key features affluent travelers care for, are the service and the aircraft type;
The key features affluent people care for in the hotel section are the location, the brand awareness, the outside environment and the customized service;
The affluent population selected the itinerary plan and the tour guide's attitude as the most important features influencing their travel experience.
